I am a little late on posting this but better late then never, right? Well Mr. Lincoln James arrived on August 17th at 8:55pm. He was 5lbs 14oz and 19 inches long, he was so tiny I couldn't believe Lily was ever that size, but he was so perfect! Here is the story of his arrival.....

Let's see, well for starters my mom arrived here on the 16th which was my due date so she got to be here for the action, which was awesome! So that wednesday the 17th my mom Lily and I all went bumming around for the day and when we got home around 4 pm, I decided to start pumping since I had been told by a couple people that pumping could help start contractions and BOY DID IT WORK! I started pumping around 4:30 pm and about 10 mins into it I was starting to have good contractions but they weren't regular so I decided to go a little longer and another 20 mins of doing that the contractions were very strong on painful, they were lasting about a min and they were every 2-4 mins apart. So I stopped the pumping and my mom and I just continued to time the contractions, and they were getting closer and longer and very painful I couldn't even talk through them. Thank goodness Nate had just gotten home a little after 5 so he got himself showered and dinner while I continued to wait around until we decided it was time to go to the hospital. We hung out at home, for 2 hours and at 7 pm I couldn't handle the pain anymore so we headed to the hospital. I never thought I would be one of those women saying "watch the bumps in the road!" while driving there, but I just calmly told Nate to be as smooth as he could, every bump started a contraction, so I really had no break from them. No fun haha.. We get to the hospital and I could barely walk through the parking lot we had to stop a couple of times for the contractions to ease, and then we got me a wheel chair and started the long walk to the labor and delivery dept. We got to the dept, and the nurse at the front desk asked me how far apart my contractions were and since I couldn't talk from being in so much pain, nate told her they were every minute or even less. So she said OK and told us to wait in the waiting room, YEP I got put in the waiting room with people who were sitting in there laughing and having a good ol' time while I was in a lot of pain, so I had nate put me in the hall.. About 5 mins later a nurse came and took me to a triage room, they said they had to monitor me for 20 mins before a dr would come in and check me, she stated they had to make sure I was in active labor. I clearly was in active labor, but whatever lol! I layed there on the bed having one contraction after the other and then my water started to leak with every contraction. About 25 mins later a dr came in and checked me and said I was dialated to a 5 and 100% effaced. So I then asked the dr very nicely "when can I get an epidural?" and he said they would have to get me to my room, get me an IV and then draw my blood to check my platelets and then I could get the epidural, he said it would be about an hour before I would get it! So I started to quietly cry to myself, it was pathetic haha. So they then had me change and a nurse walked me, yes she made me walk to my room, I had about 2 or 3 contractions just walking to the room, might I add the hall was never ending it was horrible! I got to the room finally, and I sat on the edge of the bed, I couldn't really move since I was constantly contracting so I was stiff and couldn't really move, and the nurse that was going to give me my IV told me to lay back so she could start the IV, and I just softly said "one sec" because I was having a bad contraction, and she said " well ok, but this is on your time, so you need to lay back or else I can't give you the IV!" Ugh, I was so mad at her, all I said was one sec so I could let that contraction pass, but no she had to get all mean :( I laid back and she slowly started my IV, she missed the first time and so she was attempting another try and she just kept saying " you are so sweaty". Well Ya I was sweating! Not only because I was trying to breathe through contractions but it was also like 90 degrees in that room it was nauseating how hot it was in there! Anyway, she got the IV in, and in the time she was doing that I was actually gently pushing because it was the only way I could get a little bit of relief from the pain, and as the nurse was finishing up I started telling them I felt like I had to go to the bathroom because I felt a lot of pressure in my bum, and the nurse was like "DONT PUSH" and so I would try not to but holy crap when you gotta push you gotta push! So I said "help me" to one of the nurses and she came and checked me and they started scrambling and calling for the dr and telling them I was ready to deliver, so the dr ran in and got dressed quickly they then said I could finally push, so I pushed and within that second the head was out and then I gave it one more push and here came the rest of him! It was all so fast! I was never able to get the epidural like I wanted, so I am now happy to say I delivered naturally and not medicated, at all! I honestly wouldn't have wanted it any other way since it all happened within just 4 hours! So I started at 5 and he was born at 8:55! It was truly a different experience then the one I had with Lily :)

Nate went and picked up my mom and Lily so they could see the baby and the first thing lily said about the baby was " I like him!" she still can't get enough of him, she is constantly kissing and hugging him! I am so in love with this little guy it is unbelievable, and Nate is definitely a proud daddy to his new boy :)

New Happenings :)

Well on March 28th we had our 20 week ultrasound and we saw something we didnt think we would and that was a little wee wee! We are very excited to be adding a little boy to the family. The only hard part now is trying to figure out a name for the little guy! If anyone has any good ideas on names, we would love to hear them :)

Also my mom has been here visiting since the 24th and it has been sooo great! I dont know what I am going to do when she leaves in a couple of days, its going to be a very sad day :( I miss family more then words can say! But another year and a half and I will be back in Utah with family just minus my husband, which is even more depressing, but I won't get into that until later next year lol :)

We just got home from vacation to Disney World on a couple of days ago! And that was a very fun trip! Lily LOVED all the characters, rides and the atmosphere itself, as did us adults :) Well that is about it on what is happening now! So I guess I will catch you all up later on anything new when it happens :)

Well I thought I would just pop in and share the little things that are going on here! Lets see, Lily has a new best friend here in TN named Bethy. We met them at church a couple months ago but it is fairly recent that we began hanging out with Bethy and her mom Beth. Isn't funny we made friends here with the same name as me? I know the name Beth isnt uncommon or anything, but I dont know any other beth's :) Oh and they are from Utah so it is also nice to have someone to hang with that we have so much in common with!

Alright what else....Nate will be trying to qualify for Air Assault school this week and if he does qualify he has a 10 day rigorous course to go through. And if you dont know what Air assault school is then join the club ha ha, all I know is nate will have to learn how to rappel down a rope out of a helicopter. And that is about all I know ha ha pretty sad right? Oh well! Also if he is able to do this course it helps with promotion points, so lets hope it happens :)

Also, we are trying to plan a trip to Disney World since we are not too far from it. I am hoping and praying it happens, because mama needs a little vacation away from this town! So if the next blog is about Disney World, you know my wish came true :)

One more thing before I go, we find out the sex of the baby on the 25th of March and we can not wait to see what this little munchkin is! Oh and my dear sweet mother is coming to visit the same time we find out the sex of the baby, and I am BEYOND excited to see her! So ready to see some family! :)

Well I thought it was about time I updated our blog since I haven't done it since the beginning of summer!
Let's see where to start? Nate graduated from AIT for the army on Oct 7th, after graduation we packed up our apartment in Arizona and began our drive home that same day. We made it back home to Utah in 2 days, it was nice to take our time on that drive! We were home for about 2 1/2 weeks before we made our 3 day drive to Tennessee where the army stationed Nate and we will be here for the next couple years. Nate is actually stationed at Fort Campbell, KY but we are renting a house in Clarksville,TN which is about 10 to 15 mins from base, so it's not too bad. Nate is enjoying what the military has him doing on a daily basis and as for me I am now a stay at home mom, so I am lucky to get to stay home all day with little miss Lily. Some days I of course need to get away but I manage and I am happy I get to see her change into a little girl everyday!
Other new news, is Nate and I are expecting our second baby! We are very excited yet very nervous at the same time :) We are only a little over 7 weeks pregnant, so lets hope this pregnancy goes fast just like the first one did, well just fast through the first trimester so the nausea can be gone :)
That is pretty much our new stuff going on for now! We hope everyone else is doing well also :)

Arizona.....

Well as of June 11th we made it down to Arizona. Nate had already started his AIT here a week before we got here. It is so nice being in the same state as him and even seeing him way more then I did while he was in Basic Training. I can't describe how much better I feel being newar him :) I am so proud of Nate for doing so well in basic he was promoted while in basic which is something that doesnt happen to everyone. So I am very proud of him! I know he is going to do so well in AIT, he has already passed his first test in AIT. So I know he will do great through with his training :) Well as for me and Lily here. We are moved into an apartment just 5 mins from the base nate is at, and we have made our little apartment look just like home so its nice! I have my sister in law and brother in law here also so that makes this adjustment a lot easier. There are also a few other wives I have met that Lily and I will have to hang out with as well. So it couldn't have worked out any better! Well that's about it so far. I will try to update this as much as I can while we are here. We are in AZ for 4 months and then we aren't sure where the army is sending us next, but I will let you know :)

Oh by the way...Nate is the SEXIEST HOTTEST Soldier boy out there! Yay for me!!! :)

Townhome for Rent or Sale!

So it is official! I have our place up for either Rent or Sale! I really want to go with Nate to Arizona when he goes there for his AIT in June! I am hoping we are able to find some great people to take our place :) So If you know of anybody wanting a beautiful townhome!! PLEASE let me know! I am praying this will happen easy and quick!!

Well if you haven't heard Nate is gone for Basic training at Fort Leonard Wood,Missouri! The first week he left was the hardest week of MY LIFE!! I regretted the decision for him to join and cried just about every 5 secs. But now that we are almost 2 weeks into him being gone I am doing a little better. I got to talk to him on monday, and that phone call was totally unexpected. We got to talk for 10 mins, and let me just say it was the best 10 minutes of my entire life (so far)! He is doing good and he says the Drill Sergeants really do yell alot. He says they swear alot which I think is a little overboard. Can't they just yell and get the point across, they dont need to swear so much :) But Nate is taking it like a big boy! :)

Today I received a letter which he got to write while in church on sunday and they also took his photo while in church and they send it to family! What an awesome thing for them to do!! I can't wait to see Nate when he graduates basic. I am going to throw myself at him lol. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! Well anyway, I will try my best to keep you posted on how he is doing and any photos he is able to send me :)

Well Christmas was definitly fun this year! Lily enjoyed everything she got from puzzles to a Kitchen. When we came down the stairs she was wearing my high heels and as she got to the bottom of the stairs she turned and looked at the presents by the tree and kicked off the heels and ran straight for her kitchen, it was so funny! Everything she opened she would look at Nate and I with an "O" face and go Oooooohh! She was so much fun this year, LIly even opened some of her own presents, I didnt expect her to do that yet but she was way into it, it was great :) So we had a wonderful christmas spending sometime with our families and relaxing at home!

Well if you haven't heard, Nate is officially a future soldier with the US Army! He will leave for Basic training March 23rd and will be gone for 9 weeks their and then gone to AIT(training for his job for the army) for 16 weeks.So he will be gone for a total of about 6 months, and will come back lookin like a fine piece of meat in uniform! Yay for me!!! :) Well that is the only thing that is new in our lives right now.I will keep you all updated on the happenings!

Fall and Halloween

We had some fun this Fall, We went to Gardner village and then to a pumpkin patch! Lily had alot of fun doing those things. She really has quite the personality, she knows what she wants and if she doesn't get it then you better look out!! lol...but she is still alot of fun!

We had one thing bad happen this month, nate lost his main job, but he bounced back very very quickly thanks to one of his friends and he had a job interview the next day after he lost his job. Nate is also looking into joining the Army to get schooling and a stable job.

That is about it that has really happened since we blogged last..Sorry it's been a little while!

Halloween was really fun, we had our annual family halloween party at my sisters and we played a coupled of games and ate alot of food!! :) We dressed up and Nate was Mickey Mouse, Lily was Minnie Mouse, and I was Daisy Duck! It was alot of fun dressing up this year, Lily loved wearing her Minnie dress!!!

Well thats about it....We will try to blog more!! :)

Yes, you read right we have the internet finally!! Well its been awhile since we have updated...but it's kind of hard without internet access at our house! So everything is still the same since we last blogged..this time I will post some pictures of our new townhome!! I wish I had more to talk about...Let's see....... well Lily is becoming a PRO at throwing temper tantrums so she is just a peach at those times, but majority of the day she is the cutest and sweetest little thing!! She gives perfect little kisses, she loves to come up behind us and kiss on our legs or our backs it is truely adorable!!
Oh we are planning a trip to Disneyland in October!! I really hope it works out because we could use a vacation more then anything, oh and we just want to take Lily, we know she will love the rides she is able to go on!!

Alright so it has been awhile since we have blogged so I will fill you on what has happened in the last month and a half...

Well, Lily turned the big O-N-E which is crazy to still think about. We had a tinkerbell birthday party for her at South Jordan park, and she got lots of toys and clothes!

I dont know if we have mentioned this, but nate got a job at Jordan Valley Medical Center as the Services Coordinator, and he is still loving it which is great, and it helps pay for school so he can go into nursing.

And we bought a new townhome in Saratoga Springs. It is a very cute townhome and a great place we can grow in for awhile! We will get pictures as soon as it is decorated and there arent little odds and ends all over the place. I am having a hard time adjusting from my house I have grown up in for almost 26 yrs minus the 6 months nate and I rented a place when we first got married. But I am definitly having a hard time. I am going to miss living with my mom very much and being able to go to my mom at night and talk to her whenever I needed. I just cant wait until we are all settled in and things can feel normal.

I just want to say thank you to my mom for letting me, nate and then when lily arrived, live with her for almost two years. I dont know where we would be if it wasnt for her! I love you so much mom :)

Well we had an awesome easter.We went to church and had a good time there.And then went to my grandparents house and ate some good food and had an egg hunt which Lily participated in with our help of course!! After my grandparents we headed to nate's parents and had an easter egg hunt there as well! It was a good first Easter with our sweet Lily bug! And about a week ago we had some families photos done and then some individual ones of Lily and here are some of them they did...now these are just samples the finished product is going to be so so so great!!! (I will post pictures of today later when I get a chance!)

On St Patricks Nate,Lily and I went to lunch and then bummed around gateway mall. It was so nice being able to finally be outside and not have to wear a jacket! It was so nice and warm!! Well while roaming about the mall we stopped and watched the water shows they do at the fountain, and boy did Lily love that. She was laughing so hard it was hilarious! Well that is about it, it was just a fun day out in the warm sun.... We are all ready for more warm weather so Lily can be outside more and more :)

Oh and some other new news! As of yesterday Lily has started to walk behind her push toy! She is getting closer and closer to walking it is so cute watching that little body walk behind the toy! YAY LILY!! :)

Wyoming!

So on the 23rd to the 25th of feb we went to Wyoming to visit my sister and brother in law and the kiddies, especially the new arrival Gracie! It was alot of fun to go up there and see my sister and play games and hang out. Even the drive up there and back was good, we didn't hit snow once so it was fantastic, since I am a big baby when it comes to snowy and wet roads!
Lily had fun playing with her cousin Kaden, they played so good together. Kaden would have something he would be playing with and then Lily would take it from him, so he would grab something else and not cry because Lily is taking toys from him. lol...It was pretty funny to watch!
I have to say seeing my new niece Gracie was fun, It made me wish Lily was that small again, I miss her just laying there doing nothing but sleeping!
Well thats about it for now...Oh and thanks to Kadens mickey mouse ride on toy, we had to stop and get lily one on the way home :)

Yes, you read correctly! Lily finally crawled forward! It was so great and so unexpected. It was on the 20th of this month and it was in the morning. I was sitting on the couch watching her playing around and then all of a sudden she was crawling over to some pictures. She was doing it like such a pro and that she had been doing it for quite some time! She looks so cute crawling. She kind of reminds me of those dolls that crawl and look like a robot...It's rather adorable! So I thought I would post some videos I took that morning! Oh and this was by far one of the best birthday gifts, since she did do this the morning of my birthday and all :)

Valentine's Day

So I thought I would finally blog about Valentines Day..... Well we started out by just hanging out and relaxing and then we ran some errands..Exciting so far right? :) lol
Then we went to Texas Roadhouse to get our name on the waiting list and they told us it will be about 95 ro 120 minutes so we went back at 615 because that was cutting it close to the time they told us...But we didnt end up sitting down until 7 pm which sucked....It turns out they lost our number they had given us..GO FIGURE! We actaully had an 8 0clock movie we were going to so that didnt exactly work out so well..So we ended up going to a 9 oclock showing which was ok but I get so tired at later movies...I know I know 9 is not late, but it feels like it these days :) Oh and the movie we ended up seeing was Confessions of a Shopaholic..TOTALLY worth it!! It was a very very good show!! :)

So that is about it for how our Valentine's Day went.... Oh and I had Lily dressed in a very cute outfit for the day..I took a few of her and my nephew Parker that night. Too cute :)

Lily's 9 Month check up

So today we went to the dr's for Lily's 9 month check up and oh man she is getting to the point slash is to the point where she will cry if anyone else touches her besides her mommy or daddy it's kind of funny and sad at the sametime...But anyway so she cried while being weighed measured and when the dr looked at her, the poor thing is just so picked on lol...Well the results for her check up are..Drum roll please.......... Weight 14 lbs 4.5 oz which is under the 5 percentile for her age, height is 26 inches which is 10% and her head is 44.5 cm which is 70%....So Basically she is going to have the whole package, which is the looks and the brains!!! Oh Yeah!! :) Well there you have it :)

January Happenings

Well where to start........ Nate and I finally found a house we like in Lehi that we most likely could be moved into by next month. Nate had his 25th birthday,Yay he has finally caught up with me, well thats until my in just a couple weeks!
Lily is almost crawling, she is so so close I am sure she will be crawling in a week or so mostly because she almost crawled today to get her binky. She also has her 9 month appt tomorrow which is just crazy to think about!! She is getting so big..And I cant wait to see how much she weighs. That is what I love about her appts, I love seeing how much she weighs and how she is coming along on everything! So I will let you all know how it goes because I know everyone is dying to know about it :) Oh and how cute she is throwing a little temper tantrum right now..YAY!! lol
What else? uhhh hmmm oh yes a Nate got layed off today...Which sucks, but all in all it was a blessing. Mostly because he really needed to get out of that job, but he stuck it out for our little fmailies sake.So thank you nate you are truely a wonderful husband and father and I love you very much! We will get everything worked out and get into our HOUSE DARNIT!!! So that jsut about sums it up for January :)

We cannot believe how fast time goes. Lily is now 8 months old, it is so crazy! These past 8 months have been fantastic with Lily, she is such a blessing to Nate and I. We could not have recieved a more beautiful daughter. Her personality is so fantastic, she has more expressions then any other 8 month old I have seen.

Lily has grown so much its so much fun seeing her change everyday. She truely is such a joy to have! We love you Lil' Lily!

Christmas this year was one of the best we have had! Having Lily with us this year was definitly the highlight of this years Christmas.

This year we spent christmas eve with the Kennaley's which was a relaxing time and fun.Nate's sister Kati and her husband dave and their kids came up to visit, and it was great to have them all here.It was awesome to have the whole family together, especially on christmas day when we went up to open gifts with everyone!

After hanging out with the kennaley family for a few hours we headed back down and opened gifts with my family. We ate a little leftovers(which is always the best) and watched a little bit of Wall-e then we headed home to do some relaxing and then off to bed!

So all in all we had a great Christmas! We hope everyone had a wonderful christmas and have a Happy New Year!!

This Thanksgiving was very relaxing and fun! We had some family from out of town visit. We had my aunt Deanne and her husband Dave here from California and also my sister Sara my brother in law Stephen and my nephew Kaden from Wyoming who surprised everyone by coming down here! The food was fantastic...we played a fun candy bar game which is kind of like musical chairs but with candy bars. All you do is wrap the candy bars up really really tight and good with duck tape and get some music going, then you sit around in a circle and pass the candy around until the music stops then once it stops you try to unwrap as much as you can of the candy bar then the music will start and you atart passing the candy arounf again and you keep going until you can get it all unwrapped and the one you get completely unwrapped is yours to eat! Its rather a fun game!! So that was basically it for our thanksgiving! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!!

I thought I would post some happenings from the past few weeks!
Lets see.... Well Lily sits up on her own with the occasional tipping over, but she looks so cute sitting up on her own! She is still so little too me so seeing that little thing sittin there is just amazing, I think she also enjoys it! Also my sister Sara came and visited for about a week and a half and I will sad to see her and my nephew kaden go, I enjoyed hanging out with her very much!! So I miss you Sara!!
Actually I think that is about it really........ Here are some photos from the past few weeks... There is one of Lily and her daddy watching tv together, so cute.. there is also Lily and her cousin Kaden chillin out sharing toys and playing for the first time! I also have some cute pictures of Lily just playing with her toes she loves not having her socks on she is very fascinated with those cute little things!! Oh and another little thing Lily does is whenever I am doing my make-up she is always trying to get the mirror I am using from me, so I will let her have it for a bit and she cant get enough of looking at herself with it, she will go really close then back up then go real close again and so on....It is very entertaining for me :) I really cannot get enough of this girl! She is the most precious and amazing baby!

First Timers!!

In just a couple of days Lily has had a couple of first timers! She has started to hold her bottle all by herself (with a little help at the beginning) and just this morning we introduced a sippy cup to her with water! While we were at her appt yesterday the dr. said we should start the sippy cup because it apparently helps get the child off of a bottle sooner. And this morning was a good first try, she sipped on it a little and then just stared at the cup like "what is this?" But I think she will be great with it as time goes on....naturally :)

~ Six Month Check Up ~

Today was Lily's six month appt and this appt went just about as good as the last one! She got some shots which she did exceptionally well getting! Lily weighed in at 12 lbs 13 oz, we are almost to 13 lbs finally a few of us thought she was atleast 15 lbs by now but not yet.Maybe in at her next appt? :) Anyway she is in the 5th percentile for her weight. Her height is 26 inches which is the 55th percecentile and her head is 42 1/2 cm which is 50th percentile! So she is definitly growing just perfectly which is fabulous to hear! I took a couple pictures of her before we left for the appt she looks so dang cute. I honestly cannot get enough of her and how beautiful she is getting everyday. Oh and her personality has popped out all of a sudden in the last few days...She is definitly becoming more and more of a Hoot!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

On friday the 24th we had our annual halloween get together at heather and brads house and the little kiddies looked so cute all dressed up!

Nate went as Peter Pan, I was Wendy and Lily was an ADORABLE Tinkerbell! Which I might add we made her costume except the wings and her little wand oh and her tights naturally!! But boy were we excited how cute it turned out!!! My mom helped me and thanks to trish for helping me on the tutu/skirt!! Then we also had emmie as Little Mermaid Sami as Snow white Alyssa was a little fairy.Parker was a skunk and Lyla was a flower!! We shared some laughs tried to play some games, ate some food and it was just a good ol' time :) I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!!muahhhh muahhhh lol

The Circus!

So Beth and I went with Ejay and Amber to the Circus last weekend and it was way fun. It started out great until the fireworks went off and scared Lily then cried herself to sleep for most part of the show. There was so much going on, and my only complaint was the ringmaster that sang the hole time!It was pretty annoying. Other than that it was way fun!

Lily rolled over!!

On the 1st of October Lily rolled all the way over on to her belly for the first time!! I was such a proud mom when I saw her! I had her laying on the floor in the living room while I did some cleaning and I came in to check on her and she was almost all the way over so I took a picture real quick with my phone and then I went to go get the video camera, because you gotta have that thing ready for whatever may happen right? So I came back to the living room and she was on her elbows!! I was so excited she was able to figure it out!! I love watching her figure out how to do little things. She is trying to perfect her fine motor skills, she is able to gain more control with her hands as she is always trying to grab whatever is in front of her! I love watching her doing all of these cute baby things!! Also on September 15th she laughed really hard for the first time it was adorable I actually got a little teary eyed because it was so cute! I will try and post the video I took of it from my phone!

The Zoo and The Living Aquarium

A few weeks ago Nate, me and Lily went to the zoo with my brother Ejay,Amber,Parker and Lyla! It really was one of the best times I have had the zoo. We got there at about 10 in the morning and there was hardly anyone there and the animals were all out playing around instead of slopin around and sleeping. We went and watched the bird show and that was pretty cool, I have never seen that show so that was exciting.Lily enjoyed the bird show as well she was squealing and talking it was so cute!! So I think she liked the zoo :)

And then on saturday nate and I took Lily to the Living Aquarium which was pretty cool too. Nate got to touch some sting ray and they have some awesome tanks with interesting sea creatures in them!! Lily loved the tanks she was just talking the whole time we were there, just smiling and cooing at the fish!! Here are some pictures from these two days we had the Zoo and Living Aquarium!!

Lily's Four month appt!

So today Lily had her 4 month check up! It went really well she weighed in at a whopping 11 lbs 7 oz and was 23 inches long! She is in the 25 percentile for her weight and height and 50 percentile for her head! So all in all she is growing right on track! :)

I also had the dr look at her left cheek because she has had a red bumpish thing growing on it.But it turns out it is a birth mark that has appeared a little later since her being born.The dr said tis fine and it will probably go away when she is maybe one or two, but she also said it could take longer and it wont go away until she is 7 or 8! But oh well, it gives her more character I guess :)

Lily also received some shots which was no good, but she did really well. She only cried for a few minutes and then she passed out on the ride home so it was a really good appt! I posted some pictures of her before and after her shots that I took from my phone!

So two weeks ago we went to scofield for appreciation day, which is where we play three different games which were horse shoes, darts, and pool. So Nate me and my mom were all doing pretty good. Nate was moving his way up and up in the darts and my mom was doing really good with the darts as well but also the horse shoes. And I was doing really good in pool only by luck though :) I ended up playing the last guy who then kicked my butt so I was out of all the games, as my mom and nate were doing well in the other games. They unfortunately did not get to finish to see if they could win because we had to head home before dark. Who knows maybe they would have won!!! Oh and as for Lily.. she was busy being the talk of the day and being passed around, everyone wanted a chance to hold her! Gotta love her being soo dang cute!!

Well the last few days Lily has had her first cold. She has been very fussy more then I have ever seen her. So we got her into the dr. on saturday and it turns out she has an ear infection so she got prescribed an antibiotic and has been on it for only two days and has already shown an improvement. Although at night time that seems to be the roughest time of the day for her. But she still wakes up and gives us the biggest grins and is a happy happy baby!!

So awesome news. Beth and I bought a new vehicle. We are really excited about it. We bought a 2008 Mazda CX7! If anybody is looking into getting a new car/SUV then we definitely recomend getting one. OK I know its a week late but hey get off my back! Well to start off by saying it was for sure one of the best fourth of July's in a very long time! We had our wonderful daughter spend it with us for the first time. We started by going down to Scofield very late Thursday night. It wasn't bad weather or anything it was a little over cast but still very nice up at the lake. Beth and I got up around eight with Lily and just hung out for a little bit. We then got stuff cleaned up and ready for everybody to show up so we can have a wicked family get away. As the day went on we met up with other friends and went down to the lake and did a little fishing and playing in the water on our new kayaks. After playing in the water we went back and got cleaned up and had some hot dogs for dinner it was sooo good roasting the hot dogs over the open flames of our fire. Brad, E. Jay and I went back down to the lake and made our attempt of catching a fish, and came back with nothing. We then went back to the cabin where we all sat around the fire joking around and making the best camp fire treats! Sm'ores. We all got a little tired and went and got ready for bed. The next morning we all got up and again Brad, E. Jay and I went back to the lake to have another go at it vs. the fish... We all again lost horribly. After this I met up with Beth and Gerri for some breakfast down at the Bowery. They had crappy pancakes while I had fresh tasty ones. At this point we head back to the cabin to get showered up and clean to get down to the parade. I must add this... The parade is nothing big. For the most part its just a bunch of people putting whatever they can that is cleaver together and having fun with it. It is and probably will always be the best parade ever in my book. After this we went to the little fair and walked around and got some food. I must say it cost way to much for what I got so I won't even go into details on it. I did get a pulled pork sandwich, chips, and a drink. After our good time at the fair we went back to the cabin to chill out and relax for a bit. After our chilling out and relaxing we all got ready and went to eat down at the Bowery for some good ole sloppy Joe's! As we eat we all played bingo. Beth and didn't win anything from that but we did win a candle smelly thing and a baby blanket from a raffle. Yeah I know we rock! We then went back to the cabin to chill out for a little bit longer when we made some home made ice-cream and watched the fireworks beam off the lake. Heather brought her own music for the fireworks which I don't think anybody could really hear, but it made for a nice touch. We all went to bed and had a rockin night of sleep. The next morning we all got up and just hung out for a little bit while. Just doing stuff that we haven't been able to really squeeze in. Beth and Gerri went out on the canoes. Then E. Jay and I took our turn going out on the canoes where we went out the island and back. It was quit the workout. Then we had Grandma Gerri watch the kids while E. Jay, Amber, Beth, and I went on a nice little four-wheeler ride. It was pretty fun just going out on a nice long ride. After this we all got ready and ended our nice fourth of July weekend!

Cat fight!

OK so it has been a while since I have wrote on here. Well I thought I should share this story with everybody. I am sorry if you are pet friendly but at the same time need to protect yourself. I still think anybody that reads this will enjoy it. To start it off I was playing some guitar hero minding my own business late at night while my two beautiful ladies went to bed. So as I am sitting there I hear the doggy door open then close so I just figured our cat Gonzo came in so I decided to go shut the doggy door to make sure no other friendly neighbors decide to come on in. So I am playing my game and I hear something coming from the kitchen so I go in there and sure enough Gonzo is just jumping up on the chair. Well I go back into the front room to play a tad bit more before I go to bed. Well all of a sudden I hear something down stairs and I know Gonzo is still sleeping in the kitchen. I go down stairs and go into our computer room because I notice that our computer screen is on, so I decide I am going to shut the door to see if I can find whatever it was down there. I couldn't find anything in the first room so I go to the next room which is the laundry room and shut the door behind me. Oh I must let everybody know, but this is the good part! So I start getting a scope out of the room before I start looking. So I looked behind the water softener. Right as I look over out of no where this cat jumps at my face. While in mid air I punched the cat in the side and watched it hit the wall. Then i have never seen a cat go so nuts! In fact it started to jump all over the counter tops and knocking stuff off them. At this point I decide that I am going to try and grab it behind its neck and make it go limp so I can just put it outside. Well that was a no go and it put up a killer fight. So as I am grabbing this stupid cat by the neck it starts clawing the crap out of my arms and sinking its teeth in my arms too. Well that just ticks me off and so I start slamming its little head in the counter hoping to K.O. the cat. That cat was resilient though. So after about five hits to the head I decided to let the cat run around the house to get myself cleaned up and get a tad bit of help. So as my ladies are sleeping I wake up Beth to come help me and I tell her that I am bleeding all over the place and I need some help. Beth's reply to that "I don't care get out of the room" she still says she doesn't remember saying that ha ha. So now I hear the cat in the kitchen freaking out jumping all over the place trying to get out the way it came in. I try and assist it out the door but it won't leave and tries to attack me again so I start punching it again every time it jumps up in the air towards the door. As the cat ran off again I notice my little girls room door is open and so I go in there and turn on the light (Lily doesn't sleep in there yet so no worries about waking her). I am to the point I am willing to kill this cat if I catch it in Lily's room. At this point I turn to look by the dresser and then the cat jumped out at me again, and again this time I kicked the cat in the hind legs. So here I am again with the cat gone hiding somewhere in the house. Now I am desperate so now I wake up my mother in law letting her know also that I am bleeding and there is a cat running loose in this house. So she gets up and decides to help me out to get this stupid cat out of the house. So we turn off the alarm system and open up the sliding glass door. So as I am starting to now go through every room now double checking and closing the doors from behind me making sure this cat is out. As I make my way upstairs my mother in law hands me a broom to get it out when I find it. I took the broom side so I could hit the cat with the handle when I found it, and yes that is what I did. I finally found the cat under the T.V. so I smacked it like eight times before it finally came to an end, and the cat ran out of the house never to be seen again. So the moral of the story is... If you find a cat in your house beat it down until its out then put it outside.

P.S. That isn't the cat but the evil in its eyes is dead on ha ha

Blessing Day!!!

So today June 1, 2008 we blessed our beautiful little lady, LilyAnn Kennaley. It turned out really nice. We blessed her at our ward house. One of the best parts of the day was knowing the fact that Lily was blessed in the same exact dress that Beth was blessed in so it was very special! Lily was wonderful, I think she liked being held and bounced up and down during the blessing. It was wonderful to have everbody in the circle with me to hold Lily. I was so nervous blessing her. I was shaking out of my boots! After the blessing we went home and as a big family we had crepes! Oh man they were so good! Lets just say I am so greatful for our family and the support they gave Beth, Lily and I. Lets just say I couldn't ask for anything more.

Hard but worth it!

So its been a week and two days since our little girl has come. It hasn't been the easiest thing ever but it sure has been worth it. Sleeping has gone out the door kind of... Well I should say mainly for Beth. I just wish I could be a better husband and have the patience she has. I will try to get up but I have the hardest time doing it. I must say this though when I do get up and hold our little girl it is so worth it! I will always have to praise Beth though she is so wonderful with her. My favorite thing in the world is to see how Lily looks at Beth. Lily loves to be held by her mama that's for sure! Just so everybody knows but I have to say the two most wonderful woman in my life is for sure my lovely Beth and Lily! I will always love you two always and forever!

Well everybody it has been a while since we have been here to write. Well our beautiful baby girl is here. Our little LilyAnn Kennaley came to our family on May 4th 2008 at 5:35 P.M. She weighed in at 5 pounds 11 ounces, her height was 19 1/2 inches long but Beth and I still think differently about that... She has to be smaller. Well the way it all started was on Sunday morning at 3:30 A.M. when Beth decided to wake me up and let me know haha. We went a couple hours and just wanted to see if it got any stronger. So we both fell asleep for maybe an hour but Beth woke up in even more pain so we figured it was the real deal. So we got up and got all washed up and ready but we still kept at home till about eleven. From then Beth was checked and was at a 2 and 90% effaced so they gave us two options. 1) Beth sticks it out for bit and and they give her some meds to forget about the pain. or 2) They break her water and get things going. So we obviously went with getting it all started. So after they broke her water things started going pretty hard and long. Beth was in a lot of pain it scared Beth's mom and I. We almost started crying for Beth because it was so sad to watch her in so much pain. They said Beth would get an epidural in about ten to fifteen minutes... So an hour and a half later she got one... That was probably the longest time in Beth's life. After it was all said and done with the epidural they checked Beth and she was a 7 and 100% effaced. They gave us an hour before the next check so I decided to go downstairs to buy a drink with my brother in law Ejay. While I was downstairs I got a phone call to run back upstairs because the babies head was crowning. So when I got back upstairs they started her and after ten minutes our healthy, beautiful baby girl was here!

So yesterday March 29, 2008 Beth and I and some friends went to the RSL soccer game against the Chicago Fire for a little double date. (It was Beth and I and the other couple was Nate McCoy and Justin Williams.)We had a really good time! It was a good game because we were winning up until the finale minute when chicago scored to tie the game at one which stood to be the final score. It kinda sucked but life goes on. Then we all went back to Nate's apartment and hung out for a while just joking around where nate and justin started spooning. (I am just joking around and if they read this they im sorry haha) After this we decided to get out and get a bite to eat at the good ole California Pizza Kitchen. You can never go wrong with BBQ Chicken! "Its the best" as Nacho would put it. Oh and as I sum up this blog up I have one final thought to say. STOP SNOWING!!!

Our first year of marriage has been so great! We could not ask for better. We started out by renting a home in West Jordan which was a good experience so we could get the hang of having a home together. The spring flew by and before we knew it we were moving into my mom's house so we could start saving money and begin looking into getting our very first home.
As the end of summer approached nate and I had a bit of a surprise. In september 2007 we found out we were going to be parents. That was some exciting and nerve wrecking news. Once the reality of being pregnant settled, we have become more and more excited to meet our little girl which we decided to name LilyAnn.
The first year of marriage flew by and we couldn't be happier with each other and what the next few months have to bring us. On our One Year Anniversary we went to Las Vegas to celebrate and we had a great time!!

The Beginning of the Rest of our Lives!

We are a fun, happy go lucky family. How to start this is harder than I would have thought. Well I guess the best way to start is by telling everybody that we met in May 2006 we would talk all the time to where Nate got enough guts to ask Beth out July 6. Since that time we have been together non stop. Before we knew it we were down at disneyland that October where Nate finally popped the question. It was great he started shaking so Beth knew right then what he was up to. He then got on his knee where he pulled out a small glass shoe where he said " I know this probably won't fit you, but I have something else that will". Beth the quick wit she is said "Are you kidding me". It was probably the wrong thing to say at the time because running through his head was "crap she is going to say no, and it is going to be a long drive home". Good thing she said yes. We then waited a long four months of wanting to get it on. We planned out our wedding and finally got it set for February 24, 2007. It was the best day ever! Beth was the most beautiful bride. Nate was looking pretty sexy himself. We had a great time that day. We had the best reception ever! We had dancers and great hawaiian food. We had a lot of friends and family there. That same night we didn't even get any sleep so we could get on our flight to Miami to get on our wonderful Western Carribean cruise. It was so much fun! We got to spend time in Mexico, Cayman Island, and Jamaica! It was so great! All the good food, sun and fun! We will go back sooner than later.
